A Twitter Toddler Play in 5 1/2 Minutes
May 15, 2012

Today at 11:15, Bug reached a major toddler milestone. The one asks the same question over and over. "What time is it?" "What time is it?"

He's never asked that question before and my answer of "11:15" doesn't seem sufficient.

[One minute later]

I have no idea what clicked over in his brain but as a result, my answer is that it's 11:15 for the whole damn day. I'll likely go insane soon.

[30 seconds later]

Seriously, WHY IS HE STILL ASKING ME? THE ANSWER HAS NOT CHANGED!

[Friend laughingly suggests that, in fact, the answer has changed.]

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, it hasn't. See, I think if I give him a new answer, he WILL KEEP ASKING!

[One minute later]

Oh, THAT'S how I can get him to stop asking. Just have Poppadum throw up her breakfast all over the newly washed bathroom rug. GOT IT.

[Three minutes later]

"Mama, Popdum frew up." "I know." "Mama, Popdum frew up." "Yes she did." "Mama, Popdum frew up." "Yes, Poppadum frew up." "What time is it?"
